Ive heard that although Fosters is marketed here as a great Australian beer, its pretty much Australias version of PBR over there. Ive heard the same thing about Corona. Down in Mexico, its considered a substandard beer but they marketed it well up here and sales took off. You are point on with these two. These are about the only beers I will refuse. Can't imagine how much Corona is sold in US.

I have drank many PBR’s at heavy metal dive clubs, and have even taken PBR handups during cyclocross races.

The regulatory nannies require it to be called malt liquor due to the alcohol content.

Thanks for the info.
And wasn't Schiltz originally brewed in New Orleans?
No wait, that was Jax Beer.

Anyone remember the swill that was brewed in SoCal called Brew 102? It was $3-4 a case and truly nasty stuff..... I'll bet it wouldn't beat this stuff sold in Fla. back during the sputnik era. It was awful but had the enduring quality of being cheap and potent! Some said it had existential qualities. I thought it just gave you headaches the next day.

I had some Goose Island beer...not the wheat...it was surprisingly awful. I expected it to be at least half way decent. That’s all you can get at ORD, aside from the typical swill.

Lol. TX Old Milwaukee was my favorite beer when I lived in Oklahoma. I’d drive down to Wichita Falls to pick up a case. The 2.3 stuff sucks though. You need to be sure you’re tasting the real beer before passing judgment.

Cat's not havin' any of it, either! Once my friend offered a taste of beer to a very small kitten, just a little in a bottlecap. The kitten took a sip and jumped straight up in the air about a foot.
