If you are not a Christian and truly never intend to be then you have little to worry about. Simply tell your children what is easiest for you or lie. If such deviant behavior is accepted by the secular viewpoint, then it could hardly matter how your children turn out or how they decide to conduct their lives. Secular society teaches them that they are nothing but sophisticated animals anyway. Animals have a finite lifespan. If one believes that is all they are, then they tend to do whatever feels the best and justify it accordingly because it is all they have.
It is my fervent prayer that you may be led to know the truth. Bless you and your children.
