Talk about stretching your 15 minutes of fame into an hour. I cannot understand for the life of me why Sarah Palin is still talked about, listened to, reported on, or even thought about. The former Governor and former Vice Presidential candidate resigned from office back in 2009 and suffered one of the most crushing losses in a national election when she and Senator John McCain took on Barack Obama back in 2008, six years ago. Yet, with no public office, no real platform, no official position with the Party and no real legacy nationally or in Alaska, she still makes news as a political "pundit" of sorts.
I dont get it.
The only thing I can attest it to is that she and her family are like some dysfunctional reality show family that the media and public just cant turn away from. Sort of like a grown up Honey Boo Boo or political Duck Dynasty. But that doesnt explain FOX News and others who still have her on to get her opinion on real political issues as if they take her seriously somehow. And to some on the right, the Tea Party right, she seems to be something of a spokesperson. Palin even has her own PAC, political action committee, called SarahPAC, while formed back in the heyday of her political fame in 2009, it is still going. Its stated mission is to build America's future by supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation. On the PACs website the big banner today calls on her supporters to help her reverse Obamas destructive policies and help send REAL conservatives to fix them.
That down-home, folksy persona still seems to appeal to the Tea PARTY, despite Palin never accomplishing anything of significance to note. Well, except for having the uncanny ability to keep her name in the news. Forget Honey Boo Boo, shes more like a political Kim Kardashian, famous for being famous.
Palins latest headliner-grabber came from a much publicized brawl earlier this month when the whole Palin clan, including Sarah, Bristol, the son, Track, and Sarahs husband, Todd, were involved in some major altercation at a party in Anchorage. One witness recalls Bristol throwing a hook and there are reports of Todd standing in the middle of the street shirtless flipping off party guests after they were asked to leave. Sarah Palin was reportedly heard yelling Do you know who I am? during the ruckus.
Wow.
And this is the face of the Tea Party? If the Tea Party wants to continue to be relevant in politics they really should find someone else to be their standard bearer. How in the world can they be taken seriously when the person they put on the pedestal is someone better fit for a reality show than a political discussion about leading America? The alarm clock on her 15 minutes must surely be ringing loudly by now. No more hitting the snooze button. Its time to wake up and move on.
Sarah ping.
“I cannot understand for the life of me why Sarah Palin is still talked about, listened to, reported on, or even thought about.”
And yet YOU talk about, listen to and report on her right now.
Must make you a dumb ass that you don’t even see that......
The bottom line is easy. Sarah Palin makes liberals heads explode no matter what she says or does. Why would we not make sure she gets out there to provide us that entertainment?
“she is good, beautiful, smart, female and conservative”......
So what’s not to like?
The lefties hate her because they have NO ONE like her.
Talk about stretching your 15 minutes of fame into an hour.
+++++++
It was never Sarah stretching her fame, it was our own party that did that. They are like fans of a winning football team, cheering her on as long as she is winning but as soon as she has a ,media driven, losing season, they leave the stands and curse her.
BIOYA, Chrysler...go annoy someone who cares.
Curious, without Sarah Palin what these idiots would have to write about.
Does she not understand the irony of this sentence?
Chrysler, please go the way of the DeSoto.
(Though I like the car)
Said the author who just can't let go. The PDS is strong with this one.
Plan A : present opposing viewpoints. Chrysler has nothing. Therefore, moving to plan B
Plan B : Alinsky the target, criticize, marginalize, demonize, criminalize.
Consider the source. Most likely ‘trash’.
They can’t seem to stop writing about how irrelevant Sarah is and how everyone should stop writing about her. Quite the contradiction, no?

WOW is correct. Summer can’t even copy correctly the events as reported by
various articles. Next she may have Alaska down somewhere in South America.
“one of the most crushing losses in a national election”
Did the Reagan vs. Mondale election map fail to make an impression on her? Or is she ignoring that McCain named her for his vice president to boost his flagging campaign, which it did?
Sounds like “Chrysler Summer Event” is very jealous and envious of Palin’s fame. Still trying to get his or her (is Chrysler male or female?) own 15 minutes of fame yet. Of course, she or he apparently doesn’t see the disconnect and irony of writing about not talking or writing about Sarah Palin anymore, by talking and writing about Sarah Palin some more. DUH!
I love Sarah Palin and would vote for her again in a heartbeat if she was ever to run for office. Smart lady.
Liberals cannot avoid talking about their worst nightmare!
She scares them right down to the bone, she causes them to scratch their ears until they ache, then their blood boils into caldron of hate.
Because she simply won't go away. It'd kill her if she wasn't talked about, listened to, reported on, or even thought about. She craves attention - even the wrong kind.
The media just needs to ignore her.
