I have noticed that various unnamed “financial gurus” have been talking down this referendum as being “foolish” because of all the various loose financial ends left by severing ties with England. That attitude 260 years ago wouldn’t have been helpful.

Those same people were mouthing many of the same things back during the Quebec independence referendum in 1995.
