Sorry, the Highland/Lowland religous split has been irrelevant since the time of Sir Walter Scott.

But not the cultural split. Religion is just a short cut identifier for the cultural-tribal split.

The cultural split is still there though. Pro-independence feeling is much much stronger in the highlands.
