The most haunting memory for me is still the Chappaqua train station. Hundreds of people commuted to lower Manhattan..the trains were shut down for days..and phone service was spotty...as people made their way home that week...they stopped to pick up their cars...After a week..there were 5 cars unclaimed in he lot..that's how we first knew who had been lost..
MrD and I were still in bed watching the news about the first plane that hit the WTC when we witnessed the 2nd plane hitting the 2nd tower. It was a shocking moment that I will never forget. God rest those souls who died.
and as I read that post and have the reading of the names on the TV behind me i hear the name of Allan Shwartzstein of Chappaqua read off...
God Bless and keep these Americans.
Thanks for the link.
Rest in peace. You are always remembered.

On 09/09/2001, Mrs. Olson was on C-Span, talking about her Hillary book. A caller said she was evil and would not survive too long. I was watching that morning, and it chilled me. Just re-listened to it. At about 34:30 minutes.
