At some point we need to start to worry about making things in America once again.

Just one generation ago, America led the world in just around every field.

Now we are losing, and we are losing big. We are losing to a massive communist nation which does not respect the values which made America great.

I think we are losing, because there are far too many Americans selling us out.

Including, far too many otherwise reasonable Republicans.

Though there are a massive number of sold out democrats.

Everyone is selling out, everyone else.

All I am saying is, it is time to bring back American jobs.

Bigtime.

The Democrat candidate for Governor of WA state would also rather not have a real job.

But, according to the St. Louis Federal Reserve, the economy is in the doldrums because people are hoarding their money.

So, are they really shopping or just window shopping?

Fed says Americans are hoarding cash

The poor aren’t stupid. If giving up 40 hours a week doesn’t result in a significantly higher income they aren’t going to bother working.

That reads like a backhanded argument for a $15 minimum wage.

Our corporate tax rate is too high:

The rest of the world has tariffs on our exports averaging 40% plus a 16% VAT penalty. China has no capital gains tax and a maximum 10% tax on dividends. My only surprise from this is that we haven't lost all of our industry to China.

Thank a Federal Reserve and government that can print money and debt to support any voting bloc, any progressive scheme.

What do you mean by this? Selling out how?

Companies which used to hire American, now hire Chinese.

Yet we buy the stuff. By the ton.

I say it is time to buy American.

there you go again……dear LORD get a life and spend a few IQ points on some other issues, and please kill your inner liberal who will excuse the welfare mentality on the part of the takers.

You really have a deep populist liberal streak you do not understand and cannot shake.

Wow, that wasn't even my comment, and I find it offensive. You are bass ackwards. It's an argument for a LOWER MAXIMUM BENEFIT not a HIGHER minimum wage. Sheesh

oh! or better yet... they should only be used to buy army rations!

If it’s good enough for our troops, it should be good enough for these bums!

no, because if you raise the minimum wage to $15 a hour, everything will just cost more and they wont be able to buy anything more than they do now.

The only thing that will be accomplished is that the savings of those who did the right things will have diminished purchasing power due to the inflation the minimum wage increase will cause.

I personally don't think the leeches should be given any more than enough food for survival unless they trade work for benefits.

The reason I say WIC foods is that the program seems to be very good about having a high nutritional standard for approved foods. Using WIC guidelines is actually a good suggestion for people who want to get started on eating pure and whole foods.

Ya know not for nothing. I work 60 hour weeks and go out of my way to be frugal in everything! We went to Olive Garden last week and it was special and far and few between. And Olive Garden is cheap....I wonder about people even the ones with jobs....I’d love to drive a Lexus but if I want to make sure I am cared for in my older years I’ll drive the 13 year old subaru for my 120 mile round trip a day......Ok now I am just venting about my fortune but you get the idea...xo

But you have no clue to get what you want, and a stubborn willful ignorance as to why things happen.

Bring back American jobs: what a worthless platitude from someone who can’t put three syllables together accurately on why it’s happening.

Yep. And the reason that companies buy Chinese goods is that they cost less for the same quality. The whole thing is a question of economics.

For example if a retailer can sell a widget made in China for 70% of the cost of the same widget made in the USA, What do you expect will happen to that company if they decide to sell th equivalent product at a higher price? Their competition will put them out of business. SO it isn't so much selling out as it is survival.

And WHY? Because the government is apying a vast number of able bodied (for the most part) to sit on their dead asses and collect our money. Until you can get the deadbeats off welfare and on the workforces China will continue to outperform the USA from and economic viewpoint.

We need to restore Constitutional government. Where, pray tell, does the Constitution authorize the congress to establish ANY social welfare assistance program? Where are WIC, AFDC, TANF, etc. in the US Constitution?

The obvious answer is that they are utterly absent. These programs consist of giving stolen goods to those who will not work. Worse, they consist of using stolen POWER to do it. We must end them, not just because they're a bad idea, but because Congress isn't permitted to establish them.
