In and example of armed citizen stopping crime, a 30 year old West Allis man defended himself and others against an attempted armed robbery by a group of four. He shot and killed one of the suspects, a known gang member with a long criminal history at the age of 15.
The police or prosecutor have not said that the armed citizen had a concealed carry permit. it seems likely, as he was not charged or arrested, at least not yet. Perhaps he was openly armed, which does not require a permit.
Police have arrested five more people that they believe were involved in the robber and dozens of others over the past few days. From fox6now.com:
Police say they have arrested five additional suspects believed to be part of a group responsible for dozens of Milwaukee-area robberies committed over a three-day period including the 2nd and National attempted armed robbery that resulted in the fatal shooting.Dozens of crimes committed in three days, until a fatal mistake was made in the victim selection process. Only one of the criminals was an adult. Perhaps it is time that we reviewed the "progressive" reforms that wiped out juvenile offenses when the "child" reached 18. Maybe we should limit the number of times that they are given a "second chance". The separate system for juveniles seems to have become an invitation to crime for gang members.
The suspects arrested by police are: two 14-year-old boys, a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, and an 18-year-old man.
But he had just turned his life around, joined the church choir and was just about to enter college. Where's the mother or grandmother crying "He was a good boy!"?
Won't say a word 'till the cameras are rollin'.
In my parent’s old neighborhood the city moved in a bunch of section 8 families. The underage black boys were selling drugs and had guns. (Saw a deal and one of them threatened my 90 year old dad with a gun in my dad’s back yard.) I think the older dealers were using these really young kids because they won’t be prosecuted and they won’t have a record when they turn 18.
“My baby ain’t done never hurt nobody.”

They aren't robbers. They are Liberators....
Or so says Al Sharpton.
I wonder if he and/or Jesse Jackass and/or Holder will be heading there soon since Ferguson sort of fizzled out for them..
he was not charged or arrested,
Not quite true; he was “taken into custody” and charges may be pending. Flinn (the police chief) is not a fan of armed citizens, nor is the DA (the one that hosted 2 illegal witch hunts against Gov Walker and anyone who supports him). The Milwaukee “judges” seem most often to support the repeat criminals. There are only 2 elected officials in the area that side with victims of crimes; Clarke (Sheriff) and Donovan (City Council).
In my view this guy should be given a medal; the cops were not able to stop this crime spree for months, he gave them the break they needed to make some arrests. Of course arrests mean nothing when judges just turn the thugs loose.... That has been one of Sheriff Clarke’s themes for a long time.
I should have clarified with a “yet”.
“He has not yet been charged, and was released after being taken into custody.”
Could be an improvement...
law needs to be changed that all juvenile gang members are automatically charged as adults.
close the real loophole in the justice system.
