You can attach a hand pump to the faucet closest to your pump and get water from your well. I have done it and it became part of our prepping a long time ago.

Curious - how many feet in total (horizontal + vertical) does that pump draw from your well or source? Must you valve off the rest of your home’s clean-water piping, or install some other sort of isolation switch? I’ve seen all sorts of alternate methods of drawing water during power-offs suggested, but yours is so countrified common sense, I’m smacking myself over such a simple solution. Brilliant. Elegant, even.
