Ted Cruz gave a great speech today, hitting four topics he said would be at the forefront between now and the elections in November: Amnesty, Obamacare, National Security, and the Rule of Law. His biggest applause line came when he called for the impeachment of Eric Holder, where he got a big standing ovation. Theres so many good soundbites you might as well watch the whole speech and you can do that below:

What kind of vote majority does it take to dump the sitting Attorney General? I confess I don’t know.
Holder could be impeached with a senate majority - as far as I know.
Win the Senate, Cruz brings up an impeachment bill and then we finally find out the Republican party’s committment to the country.

Neither Cruz nor any other Senator can "bring up an impeachment bill". That is the House's job.
The House impeaches. The Senate tries the case.

So Cruz talking about the impeachment of Holder is just blather?
67 senators. Same as it takes to oust Obama.
IOW, one excellent November, plus a bunch of terrified 'Rat defectors.
Polishing up his campaign speech. A thirty minute video:

The Senate cannot initiate an impeachment;; only the House can do that.
Cruz is certainly free to speak his mind on the subject and, perhaps, influence the House.
I found out a long time ago.
“Cruz is certainly free to speak his mind on the subject and, perhaps, influence the House.”
Then he should say that. “The House needs to impeach Holder so we can start removal proceedings.”
Which will go absolutely nowhere and anything before November the rats will use that to rally the troops.
Now January 21st, with a Republican House and Senate, you tie up Obama for the final two years with proceeding after proceeding. The Cruz can call for Holder’s removal from office should the House decide to grow a pair.
