Will every 2016 GOP candidate have to pledge to reverse Obama's Executive order on amnesty?

In politics, like chess...it's important to think several moves ahead. For several months now, we've been told that by the end of summer, Obama will use his pen and cell phone to issue executive orders granting amnesty to some 5 million now illegally in the US. The thing about Executive Orders, is that they're just that...they're not law, and they're not binding on future presidents. So....

Marco Rubio yesterday warned Obama against taking any such action. Byron York has a superb column discussing Rubio's comments here . A must read.

Even if the GOP wins the Senate in November, and Congress passes bills overturning Obama's action..Obama will veto them.

Which brings us smack dab into the 2016 presidential campaign. One GOP hopeful will be the first to announce that if elected, his first action will be to overturn Obama executive order. Heck, if you read Rubio's comments in the link above..he sounds like he's ready to do it himself.

So, what happens then?

Will all the other candidates feel the need to go along. Could anyone who doesn't take the pledge have a chance of winning a Republican primary? And what about the 5 million newly amnestied..are they now suddenly "illegal" again? Does it get tied up in the courts for years? The MSM rails against "cruel Republicans..you can write the headlines.

It seems to me that there are a lot of unasked, let alone unanswered questions here.

Such a pledge will be good so long as there is a Senate that will not pass it and a president that will veto it. Much show will be made then the subject will fade away as the Republicans learn the benefits of fatter bank accounts and long term income.

What the US and most other nations need is a time out from ALL immigration. That includes refugee status.

The nation is at a crisis point, and it's becoming a matter of how the collapse of at least some aspects of our once great civilization will be handled. The best that can be done now is to manage the decline in such a way that at least some parts of the US and other countries can emerge from it.

What if the Sultan does more than "Amnesty?" The best move he could make is to grant all the illegals Citizenship. He would then defy Congress and the Senate would approve. Congress would do nothing about it except complain loudly. The Court may take it up quickly but meanwhile the Sultan will have sent his voting counselors throughout the country and will have intimidated most of the States (those that aren't eager for it) into allowing them all to vote. Whatever the Court decides, the Sultan would simply ignore or declare the Court's decision Unconstitutional and keep going. What will stop him? I pray that the man's reputed cowardice keeps him from doing that but that is how far down the road to overt dictatorship we have come. He can do it and would likely be successful.

The people have guns. Are there leaders? Perhaps the military would step in but that presents problems in itself.

True amnesty is for a crime committed in the past; unless they are given legal status and can prove it, from the point forward the amnesty was granted another crime was committed.
