The point being that Islam and the West have intermittently clashed over the past 1400 years. Thanks to technology, the pace of engagement has sharply accelerated in the recent past. And it's a pattern that isn't going to end until the West takes the threat seriously...and ends it.
Or, alternatively, the West surrenders and Islam prevails.

An FAE requires oxygen. Less of it found in a sewer system though the idea of exploding the sewer’s methane is something they could explore. As is the fact that cities have natural gas pipe infrastructure and in parts of Queens and Brooklyn here in NYC there exists jet fuel pipelines through populated neighborhoods. A very scary though limited scenario id the fact that here in NYC LIRR trains pass directly under large apartment complexes as well as the Citibank building in Long Island City. Detonate a large explosive there and 1000s could perish. Same thing with the Cross Bronx Expressway as it passes under a huge apartment complex before going on to the GWB. The fact these haven’t happened can be attributed to the skills of our anti terrorism people and the failures of our al Queda enemies. These ISIS people look like a whole new level of opposition.
One can hope they take out DC first?

On April 9, 1609, King Philip III of Spain decreed the Expulsion of the Moriscos (Spanish: Expulsión de los moriscos, Catalan: Expulsió dels moriscos). The Moriscos were the descendants of the Muslim population that converted to Christianity under threat of exile from Ferdinand and Isabella in 1502. From 1609 through 1614, the Spanish government systematically forced Moriscos to leave the kingdom for Muslim North Africa.
They were only allowed to keep possessions they could carry; the rest, including their property, was impounded. The expulsion especially affected the Kingdom of Valencia and the Kingdom of Aragon, harming their economies for generations. If they were caught taking any gold, silver, or any other forbidden item out of Spain they were subject to the penalty of death, and forfeiture of all their goods.

So, no ISIS is not going to blow up a US city. That is just a bunch of scare talk that we have been fed for the last 13 years to keep us quiet while they extend the Patriot Act every year and make sure TSA has their finger in you pants etc etc. The police state is a safe state.\
In 13 long years the terrorists have not managed to do anything here. The Boston bombing which killed what 2 people was homegrown terrorism if you believe the Tsarnov brothers were responsible.
But nothing about securing our borders.
