Actually George Bush did the same thing. He basically ordered that the cops in the Rodney King case be convicted after a jury found them not guilty.

Despite the legal fine print, it was clearly double jeopardy. I basically lost all respect for him after than.

When I first saw the film I too thought the cops were guilty but after watching the trial there was no doubt in my mind they were innocent yet our jackass president had them go to jail anyway. That was the first time I knew in my heart that he was a New England liberal Yankee and not a Texan.

True, and Rick Santorum did the same with Zimmerman, and Rand Paul with Officer Darren Wilson.
