“During the news conference Jackson said the officer who shot Brown did stop him and his friend because they were walking down the middle of the street. That officer had not responded to the robbery call.”

You just got a 911 emergency dispatch call and are headed to that location with all haste —
Why then are you wasting time stopping 2 kids in the street and having a battle over egos???
As far as he knew they had nothing to do with the emergency dispatch, and if it later turned out that they did, he now knew where they were and where they were headed and could have gone there with backup with an entirely different result.
Do you know if the dispatcher put out a description of the robbery suspects by radio or computer?
Name has been fixed at link. Even if Wilson did not know of the robbery and bolo for suspect matching description of Brown, which is hard to believe, Brown definitely related the police contact to the fact that he just robbed a store. How many unwitting cops have been killed on routine traffic stops because the perps were on the run, and thought that they’d just been caught?

that difference in reports is a huge error and undermines the pd credibility..
