No matter if there's a black man in the White House; there's always a power structure founded on and fostered by whiteness that exists with little challenge.
Rude Pundit with a heartfelt exposition on the same principle once expressed by Martin Luther King Jr. as "rioting is the language of the unheard":
That photo is of police patrolling the streets of Ferguson, Missouri, in the wake of a night of riots and looting in the wake of the shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown by a white cop. In that suburb of St. Louis, the population is 67% black, but there are only 3 black cops on the 53 person police force, with 2 other non-whites). What's fascinating about the picture is that the front line of five officers (two from other areas, no doubt) is all black while behind them are roughly a dozen and a half white cops and not a single other non-white one. (Side note: Has anyone written about GOP opposition to Obama as a symbolic castration and its effect on blacks in this country?)
And that's the problem, isn't it? It's that no matter where black men turn, there are always white men with guns right behind them, whether it's ***hole cops or ***hole gun owners. No matter if there's a black man in the White House; there's always a power structure founded on and fostered by whiteness that exists with little challenge.
What is there to say about the riots, about the looting, about the burning of businesses in Ferguson? Yeah, it's wrong to steal sh*t and f*** up buildings. It's more wrong to gun down a kid who, according to many witnesses, had his hands up and, according to official reports, was 35 feet away from the police car. If you believe the law is no longer on your side - indeed, if you believe its enforcers are using it to harm you - why the f*** wouldn't you riot? Tea Party ***holes march around with their guns out right after mass shootings, and no one shoots them down. Maybe it's time for some Black Panther action.
Frankly, it's a shock that there aren't more riots, in Staten Island and in Dayton, in just the last few weeks of cops killing black men. As Brittney Cooper writes in Salon, "To be black in this country is to be subject to routine forms of miscalculated risk each and every day. Black people have every right to be angry as hell about being mistaken for predators when really we are prey."
I see a lot of people around the internet today who are calling the rioters and looters "criminals." I also notice these morally scrupulous types aren't calling the cop who shot an unarmed teenager a criminal, or anything like it. I sometimes wonder what it would take for white people to really understand what it means to be under constant suspicion and siege. They really think all these victims are guilty?
Our "justice" system is so thoroughly corrupted that the last time I was called for jury duty, I flat out told them I am much less likely to give credence to anything a cop says. And yes, I understand the various pressures they're under -- but I don't trust them to tell the truth about anything. Now we add military weapons and tools to the mix, and we have one f*****-up situation.
At this point, the only way out of this mess would be for Congress to hold televised hearings on police brutality and accountability. Because the fish rots from the head, and no one in local politics, anywhere, will ever do a thing to stop it.
It has to stop.
The cotton-picking-greed is coming back and biting Amerika in the ass.
rude pundit.. blind pundit...
I have to note that he failed to note the presence of the “black” officers in that photo
Little Miss Susie certainly has a potty mouth.
After the first night of this nonsense, I would have had the National Guard conducting live fire drills with grape and shot at the rioters & looters.
There is never any call or rioting or looting. It is imperative that the civil authorities end it as quickly and violently as possible to show it will not be tolerated.
Uh...
Maybe because we aren't looting, raping, and pillaging. We are to busy talking, laughing, waving signs, and cleaning up after ourselves.
No matter if there’s a black man in the White House; there’s always a power structure founded on and fostered by whiteness that exists with little challenge.
you’ll hear voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s the root of all our problems, even as they do their best to gum up the works; or that tyranny always lurks just around the corner. You should reject these voices.

From the Second paragraph of the article, posted in English, above:
What's fascinating about the picture is that the front line of five officers (two from other areas, no doubt) is all black while behind them are roughly a dozen and a half white cops and not a single other non-white one.
Hey Susie, it obviously hasn’t occurred to you that the black cops might be LEADING the white cops, and the white cops are following the orders of the black cops!!!
She’s got “The Look”, leftist female politician edition. Surprised she isn’t a senator! /s;)
She was probably a hottie back before electricity.
Ugh-lee
Is being way too kind
I could have GUESSED that one!!!!! She’s getting back at the world because she never got a date.
I’m all for having white people stand back while black people kill each other, if only black people would quit killing white people too. Statistically speaking, the sad fact is that black people love to kill people, rob people, beat and brutalize people, and rape people. Mostly they do it to their own people, but they can’t help but spread their gangland culture around like cockroaches spreading crap.
Concealed carry.
Disregarding this incident where as yet we don't know know all the facts, no other ethnic group in the country has as many problems with law enforcement as do black Americans. Do they ever ask themselves why that is beyond the usual whining about racism? Can't they understand that many Americans go well out of their way to avoid black Americans for fear of violence? And they think rioting and destroying property will make other Americans like them?
I don't know how many white people are as deluded as Madrak, but I'll bet when the shtf, Madrak, like all mouthy leftists, will be far away from the epicenter.
There is a lot of BS out there attacking Western Civilization, too, that exists with little challenge.
So, would someone please explain to me what all this "whiteness" is. I have seen snow, been in blizzards, and that was "whiteness". I have run out of carbide in my lamp half a mile under ground and understand "blackness" as few do.
But as cultural terms, these piss me off.
They deny the incredible tribal variation in cultures with light skins, from the Celtic to the Russ, Nordic to Mediterranean, and beyond. Spare me the lumpenthink that denies MY culture, and perhaps I'll give some respect elsewhere.
But think also about this. When you stand in a building built by people who dominate the culture where and when it was built, expect that culture to be reflected. You don't expect The Taj Mahal or the great wall of China to reflect African Culture, don't expect it here.
I sometimes wonder what it would take for white people to really understand what it means to be under constant suspicion and siege.
This woman has obviously never felt paranoid walking
to her car at night, her “whiteness” has been her
armor, her iiberaism has smothered all sense of reality.
