My understanding is that a more than adequate tax is already there......it just gets”appropriated” by politicians to pay for everything but roads and bridges.

Very similar to fishing and hunting license fees that provide the politicos with walk around money and is never used for its stated purpose.

That would be correct.

Michigan is supposed to get some $250 million in infrastructure funds but Obama refuses to release it without a promise that $100 million goes to union pension funds. Its not exactly the same pot of money but its how the game works.
