This is the most detailed article about this accident that I have seen and it contains pics of the accident . Here it says an officer attempted to pull over a Dodge Durango for a simple traffic violation and the guy pressed down hard on the gas pedal.Houston at best would have arrested him taken him to jail and he would be allowed to make bail and carry on until pending court date is set for him to show up. At best he would gotten few days in jail, community service ,end of story.HPD would not of contacted ICE just on drunken driver charge.I believe this guy was involved in some other serious criminal offenses for him to have this kind of reaction.Even if they were going to deport him HPD would of ignored the detainer allowing him out of jail.Houston would shielded and protected him from an ice detainer on the merits of drunk driving charge. In my opinion there is more serious issues going on here that the police or public will never know about. I would bet he gets under 5 years and he will not be deported. He will have years to build up sob story and get Houston Churches come to his defense to not deport him .

Ah it wasn't the illegal immigrant killer's fault.
It was the fault of the TEA Party, for making him fear deportation.
It's all becoming clear to me now.

This is a lie. All illegal aliens now know that they don’t have a chance in hell of being deported with Barry in the White Hut. Hell! Illegal aliens now go straight to Ted Cruz’s office to protest. The monster has oozed out of the “shadows”.

So, if you're afraid of being caught for already having committed a crime, the crime you commit while evading arrest for the
first crime should be excused, because it was someone else's fault?
Or does this only apply to the crime(s) of illegal immigrants?

You lose that bet that he gets under 5 years.
From the article: Both the illegal immigrant driver and his passenger, Alejandro Molina, were also killed in the League City crash.

If someone would actually drive near 100 mph and run into a car full of people and kill them to avoid deportation to Mexico, it seems to tell us what Mexico is like, doesn’t it? And, do we want to introduce millions of people from there and other cesspools further south to further enhance our sensitivity to and willingness to become, those societies? Hmmmmmmm???

Yep. Houston is a sanctuary city. But this was in Dickinson and League City. Not sure about their policies. I do know that League City voted not to allow the border invaders to be kept there.
