Iraq is an American War

Obama's disdain for our nation's military is rivaled only by his devotion to Islam

Like many Americans I advocated ending our participation in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I was wrong. Being war-weary is no excuse for not realizing that we are in a very long war with the enemies of civilization and reluctant to being fully engaged in it.

On Monday, President Obama had to take a break from his Martha’s Vineyard vacation to make a short televised statement that, as far as he’s concerned, this is Iraq’s war and, though he did not mention him by name, Iraq’s former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has got to get out of the way of the newly constituted Iraqi government. At this writing he’s refusing to do that.

We started meddling in Iraq over 50 years ago and have not stopped. It is and will always be the US’s war.

Disdain for the military would be sending them back into that Middle East cesspool for another endless round of combat deployment, and dead and mangles soldiers. And for what?

Hope I’m wrong but it’s shaping up as a war were going to have to win twice. This loss of Iraq and the rise of IS has to be hung around the emperors and democrats necks forever.
This slaughter would not have happened if troops were left there, but he had to please his looney base and bring them home to soon.

“And for what?”

I take it you can’t come up with an answer. Allah Akbar to you.

They have always killed each other there. They were killing each other when our troops were there. They will continue to kill each other. The idea that our guys there would/will prevent all the killing is a fable.

The only way to end the killing is with genocide on one side or the other. That is the way it has always been in the world. Unless we actually go to War and kill millions of Islamists is just squawking from the bench warmers.

We should rely on Iraqi and Kurd intel to find targets and we can take them out from the air.

Gee and all the while I thought civilizations enemies were Iran, Russia, Hamas, and China building up. Let’s just stay at home and build up our military and let them sort it out. This way we don’t bleed to death with a thousand wounds.

Can you make a comment, Sean?

Something to prove you aren’t a blog-pimping robot?

So what if he only posts Canada Free Press? It's likely a site he owns, or he is a partner in it. WTF is that to you? Are you a Communist? Mark Levin posts links to CFP and Top Right News and The Right Scoop all the time. These are excellent conservative websites.

You're probably right.

That would mean he's just using Free Republic as a free advertising tool.

That's pretty scummy, don't you think?

Considering we get 0.9% of total monthly traffic from FR (just above Yahoo and just behind WeaselZippers, where we can't even post), I think you overestimate its value as an "advertising tool". Perhaps some of us just want to share our conservative ideas with people we have come to respect for well over a decade.
The FReeper you harassed over his postings of Canada Free Press (yes it appears he is a columnist there -- the horror!) has been a FReeper for 11 years. I have been one for 16. How exactly is it "scummy" to post articles he either wrote or from a site he runs? Top Right News gets nearly as much traffic monthly as Free Republic. Canada Free Press is highly ranked too. We don't need to post here. We want to.
As an aside is also rather ironic that 80-90% of content from TheBlaze, Breitbart, DailyCaller, Newsbusters and CNSNews involve repackaging what humblegunner would call "stolen videos". Yet I have yet to see them called "blogpimps". And I don't think Glenn Beck is a FReeper.
I guess my butt just hurts. Boo hoo.

To which site are you referring? TRN or CFP?

"TRN, the company I work for."

OK - then I'll direct this comment to you.

On no fewer than three occasions I have clicked on your site, TRN. On each of those occasions my system has been attacked.

The first was simply with unwanted advertising material. The second was with a full-blown Trojan Alert and on the third occasion my system locked up to the point where I literally had to pull the plug and do a Sys Restore on restart.

All this just to access YouTube videos that were offered with NO supporting commentary.

I view TRN in the same light as that cesspool of malware, examinerdotcom. Until you guys clean up your site, no amount of pimping or teasing will get me to click on it and I'm letting everyone I know to be wary as well.

Whatever else you want to say about your motives or business model, you've got a problem.

Almost forgot -

As far as Sean Anthony goes, he’s a posting bot, plain and simple.

This is directly contrary to the stated wishes of our host, Jim Robinson, who has made it clear that he wants people to particip[ate in the discussions they start.

If nothing else, it is extremely rude to all the FReepers who address their comments to him.
