Exactly. When they quit cooking their fries in beef tallow I quit buying their fries. Can’t find good fries anywhere now thanks to the nanny state so I just make them at home. And if I go anywhere now it’s only after making sure the drinks are in foam cups, because down here in Florida the ice melts too fast and then the waxed paper cups make the beverages taste horrible.
Our local KFC went out of business but I didn’t notice right away since I quit going to KFCs when they changed their slaw from the nice bright green variety to the pasty white disgusting slaw everyone makes these days. Did the EPA pass some anti-chlorophyll law or something? They might have saved themselves if they had bothered to hire grannies with potato mashers instead of opting to serve instant mashed potatoes, which have always been disgusting, but the instant mashed potato problem they had has to my knowledge been their problem since before I was born.

A couple years ago I did some captain midnight assisting an NCR rep install those things one night. Assembling those things was a very tedious exercise. Since they have to be so precise it understandable.
I use those little packaged alcohol swabs at ATMs and any public keypad. Simple, cheap, fast.
I haven’t had many problems at WalMart or Home Depot, but used to have a lot of problems at Kroger. Tells you to put your item in the bag, and then complains that there is an unexpected item in the bagging area. You remove the item, and it tells you to put it back; repeat.
What a shame. Putting all those poor illegals out of work...
Suppose I want to order a Big Mac with quarter pounder meat? Will the machine allow me to do so? Of course it would also have extra sauce.

Maybe a smart phone app with Bluetooth interface. Order and pay with your own device.
I hate the flavor of their burgers, too- I found I still like them in Italy and Germany. Something weird going on with the meat they uae here, as I haven’t been able to stomach it in 20 years.
These things are popping up everywhere.

Don’t kid yourself, they won’t expect that their customers will be able to read. I guarantee you the user interface will be icon based.
I’d hope so. Machines don’t unionize or are near as expensive as workers.
