I can remember Rush L., circa 1989 proclaiming Mary Jo as the most influential woman of the late 20th century, for political influence.

I was both stunned and hooked.

Profound, true and irritating to many.

Thank you for the post. I was just over 20 when the incident
happened. Points 2, 4, and 10 were new to me until today.

Also, Mary Jo’s parents were paid an undisclosed sum from the Kennedy family I believe. And Mary Jo’s mother on at least one occasion mentioned that Mary Jo had a boy friend.
To the best of my knowledge no one in the press sought him out, which I have always found interesting.
