Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Tuesday asserted the southern border is secure despite the massive surge of illegal minors from Central America that has overwhelmed federal agencies.
“The border is secure,” he told reporters after the Senate Democrats’ weekly policy lunch. “[Sen.] Martin Heinrich [(D-N.M.)] talked to the caucus today. He’s a border state senator. He said he can say without any equivocation the border is secure.”
Pay no attention to what the border patrol agents say, to the tens of thousands swamping detention centers. Marty said it’s secure.
Reid said lawmakers need to worry less about border security and focus instead on President Obama’s $3.7 billion request to help process the tens of thousands of children from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador who have been apprehended on the border.
But… the border is secure. Reid just said so. Which means they can’t exist. So no money is needed. Reid just disproved himself.
He also dismissed a bipartisan proposal by Senate Republican Whip John Cornyn (Texas) and Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar (Texas) to expedite deportations as “too broad.”
“From all the reports I’ve gotten, the answer for me is no, I won’t support it,” he said.
In other words he won’t allow it to be voted on. Much like that patent reform proposal.
“I believe our No. 1 concern should be this narrow issue of we take care of this situation we have on the border…”
But there is no situation on the border. He just said so.
Reid said if the House had passed the Senate’s comprehensive immigration reform bill, there would not be a surge of illegal immigrant minors from Central America.
Sure because even Obama’s execution action triggered mass migration. There’s no way that a full bill would have done that. Said the guy who claims the border is secure.
The eyes say either drunk or drugged...
And yet the governors of these states will NOT call up militias to stop the tide.
Put the call out Brewer, Perry et al. deputize the citizens and let them control the very thing the federal government will not do.
They’re all Republicans except for Jerry Brown.
There is enough voter fraud in Nevada to explain Harry Reid.
The GOP does not fight hard enough for secure voter ID. Like Mexico uses. Their election system is far more secure now than ours.

This elected criminal is the poster child for a screaming need for a new biil which should be introduced ASAP in the House. It would pass easily.
If the Senate fails also to pass it, let the record show the depths to which representative government has sunk. If by some miracle, the Senate should pass it, let Obama Veto it. Documentation is always a valuable set of historic facts.
Let there be no doubt as to how bad things have become, between 2008 and 2014. Let the law be called "The Harry Reid Bill," or the "Pelosi Bill." These, of course, are not the only lying SOBs in leadership positions, but the most visible Bullshit* artists, but the minor players, like the Idi Amin lookalike are not worth bothering with.

I think Reid is using a different definition of secure than we are. He means secure for illegals to enter in massive numbers.
