I would tend to disagree- several hundred years ago thousands of French Canadian families crossed illegally into northern NY State -settled near Saratoga -
The NY governor protested the illegality of it all and the Canadian governor of the Province begged and pleaded and they worked out a deal, but it was illegal period for them to cross the border..some also settled next to my grandma`s house.
I doubt very much if Canada would allow thousands of Americans to cross their border illegally into Canada- well duhhhhh I wonder why- coz it is illegal!

Different times, and a deal was reached. They were farmers and tradesmen getting their largesse from the land, and the government didn’t exactly give them free cell phones and welfare. Also did they maintain their allegiance to France(or had the British taken Quebec by then)? The question was whether or not the story of Jacob and family being “invited” to Egypt formed a theological argument to justify the overwhelming of our borders by illegals from other lands as abetted by avowed Marxists who hate our country and want to destroy it?
