Sen. Alan Simpson warned over 20 years ago:
“Americans are fed up with efforts to make them feel that [they] do not have that fundamental right of any people—to decide who will join them and help form the future country in which they and their posterity will live. But if the elites and the advocates idea of giving voting rights to non-citizen majorities catches on—and don’t be surprised if it does - Americans could be faced with the ultimate absurdity of people outside the social compact making rules for those inside it."
