Give me a little while to make sure Hubby is up and has coffee. I’m at work. Recipe is at home. I got it from Hubby’s godmother. Spent her entire life in the south (Florida & Alabama). Great lady. We lost her earlier this year.

Here's an easy do-ahead Chopped Slaw
Can use supermarket packaged shredded cabbage.

Combine 2 1/2 lb shredded cabbage, oz fresh spinach snipped into 1/8" pieces, 1 1/2 c Sweet Cream Dressing. Chill till nice and cold.

Sweet Cream Dressing: Whisk smooth 1-1/2 c mayo, tb+ 1-1/2 tea HalfnHalf, 2-1/4 tea vinegar, tb+1-1/2 tea sugar, Pinch black pepper.

Super Cole Slaw

1 large head cabbage
1 large onion
3 carrots
1 large green bell pepper
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed

Shred cabbage in bowl, layer shredded onion, carrots, and bell pepper. Sprinkle sugar over top. DO NOT STIR. Bring other ingredients to a boil. Pour over cabbage while hot. Refrigerate overnight. Do not stir until ready to serve.
