Consdering how many people shoot their guns up in the air to celebrate, I find that argument questionable.

Excellent points and we will joint the festivities in southern Rhode Island. We always start with the mountain howitzer we use at re-enactments and continue on with “mucho” musket fire. That howitzer, civil war era, is heard all over town.
