Target 'Respectfully' Asks Law-Abiding Citizens to Leave Guns at Home

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

On July 2nd, Target "respectfully" asked law-abiding citizens to "not bring firearms" in their stores.

The department store chain did this via an announcement posted on its website and shared by interim CEO John Mulligan.

The announcement says:

As you've likely seen in the media, there's been a debate about whether guests in communities that permit "open carry" should be allowed to bring firearms into Target stores. Our approach has always been to follow local laws, and of course, we will continue to do so. But starting today we will respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target--even in communities where it is permitted by law.

By taking this step, Target joins Chipotle, Jack in the Box, Sonic, and Chili's in asking law-abiding citizens not to carry guns in their businesses....

Since the data breach I've avoided them. Last nail in their coffin.

What if a non-law abiding citizen, say an illegal immigrant has a gun?

Can they go into Target?

Interim CEO John Mulligan, please leave your anti-American leftist stupidity at home and don’t bring it to the workplace.

Leave my gun at home?

Why don’t you change the name of your company?

Sounds gun friendly if you ask me.

Gun control advocates everywhere should be upset that your company, by its very name, promotes gun violence...

I don’t agree with Target, that telling me the Bill of Rights stops at their door is “respectful”. But personally if my store doesn’t put up a sign, which I will ignore, I probably won’t get too excited about this.

I don’t go to Target, anyway, but, on this, it’s their business, and their choice what to allow in the door. If it costs them business, that is also their problem.

I’m not for gun control legislation, but I’m also not for forcing businesses to allow things in they don’t want. If that means they put a bullet in their own foot, so be it.

Tyrone and Jose Gangbanger had a big heist planned to rob target and all its customers. But now since target has asked that guns not be brought in, I guess Tyrone and Jose are going to have to go somewhere else. Because Tyrone and Jose always obey gun ordinances.

Now liberals can rest easy when they shop at target because they have a sign out front. “No Guns” See? No guns will ever make there way in Target now.

A business does have the legal right to post signs and say no guns. In Washington state you can still go in, and if they notice they can point to the sign and ask you to leave. If you don’t, then it becomes a trespassing issue. Of course, you also have the right to honor their sign, and not go into the establishment and spend your money there at all!

I read this as they don’t wish “open carry” it says nothing about concealed carry.

>>respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target

That’s why I carry concealed and never read those signs on the door. They’re only about skateboarding and shirts and shoes, right?
