Two arrogant progressives at the US Patent Office have denied a trademark to the Washington Redskins. It appears these two people decided the name Redskins was racist or otherwise offensive. The team name has overwhelming support from the general public. After a solid year of endless attacks on the name at ESPN and other news outlets, the left has been unable to convince the public or the team that the name needs to be changed. In typical progressive fashion, they had the government do what the free market wouldn’t do. They denied the trademark clearly hoping this would force a name change. One wonders why this is any business of the state.

The “state” does not have a “say” in any personal freedom issue. The communists and progressives are attempting to overturn the bill of rights.
Denying the trademark doesn’t mean they have to change the name. Snyder should stand up for Free Speech and forgo the revenue the trademark provides.
Perhaps the name should be changed to "The Washington Freed People." Or to revive an historic term from the era of The War Between the States, "The Washington Contrabands?"

Anyone that REALLY wants to change and has a Seasons Ticket should just PAY for the ticket and boycott the games.
THAT IS COMMITMENT.
Don’t let the ‘evil owner’ make money off the concessions and parking.
EMPTY SEATS SPEND NO MONEY..
Also, if the players protest, just turn in your salary and tell the man you can’t ‘play for him’. I am sure he would understand.

This will end up like the NFL banning the use of the ‘N’ word.
Probably not a ‘bad’ idea BUT the BLACK PLAYERS are suing because they are being singled out, seeing as THEY are the only ones using the ‘N’ word, so banning it is a form of discrimination.
GOD, it sure makes ones head spin, this trying to ‘keep up’ with PC and all its ‘rules’.
