Beautiful speech by President Reagan (weren't they all?), but as I read it the name Bergdahl kept popping up in my mind. What does he know about honor, obedience...? And towards the end of the speech, the name had changed to Obama. Oh, well, it is a great speech!

Go to the link (in the article) and watch the speech. He did not use the word “I” not even once (except when it was part of a quotation).

Many thanks for the post of Reagan’s speech!
Ronaldus Magnus, indeed.
He was of the Greatest Generation; the challenges of those times gave him and his colleagues of that era courage, honor, and a sense of right behavior.
But foremost, people of that time did not hesitate to express faith in Almighty God publicly, and follow that faith.
Reagan knew the source of our strength, and honored Him.
I pray that the Almighty again send us a leader like him!
