Boy, when prices hit >$2.80 in 1987 I got nothing but complaining emails from my leftist acquaintances & family. But those emails stopped in November 2008. I wonder what happened? /s

Like the 24/7 drumbeat about fuel prices up until around that time, they kind of went away. Now it is just a passing blurb on the local agitprop that my wife watches in the morning if that much.
A few of the delusional that I still somehow have contact with still blame any and everything but the obvious causes, especially the one about somebody that something about necessarily skyrocketing energy prices.
