I thought folks couldn’t get ID to vote because it was too hard on the po’ ...they can vote with nothing but starve without an ID?

I heard about Maine today, and in the cacophony of shrieks against the idea was precisely the reason for having a photo: because welfare recipients want their family, friends and others to be able to use their cards.
Despite its being illegal.
For some reason I don’t think this will be a very persuasive argument, like thieves complaining about laws against theft.
