Yeah, but does he play Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Tchaikovsky et al.?
THAT music has been around for hundreds of years. THAT is music that has stood the time and still found to be beautiful.

Rap music will be forgotten so fast it would make one's head spin.

For me, rap music is talking with rhythm, nothing more. No melodies, just words. It's also an African-American vehicle where whites are not welcome...if the past is to be believed.

It also is so often just a gripe. There is no joy or hope there, just anger and frustration. Not a great deal to celebrate...imho.

Music is SUPPOSED to be uplifting.
