“NEW YORK CITY!!?” “Get a rope.”

Suddenly I want some Pace picante sauce over my scrambled eggs this morning.

Anyway, RFK Jr. is a whacked out drugged out alkie like most of his clan so what he says is of zero consequence. Surprised he didn’t say “The BLM should have opened fire on those teabaggers!!!” That’ll come later, just watch.

This is the first time I’ve heard the Tea Party associated with the Bundy Ranch activity.

I guess if you’re going to smear somebody...might as well be as inclusive as possible. Use a wide brush.

Sounds like Josh is disappointed there wasn’t a bloodbath with significant loss of life on the Bundy side.

What an azzwipe.

“BLM does not have legal police powers granted by congress, so its swat team was not legal.”

I’m still wondering how they (BLM) have the power to order a ‘No Fly Zone’ over U.S. Government property and the Bundy ranch.

There is an obvious double standard here. But what’s the x-factor? Is it race? Guns? Demographics? Ideology? Or a combination of many things?

The fact that the TEA Party protesters are just the tip of an iceberg. The MOVE people were not even popular among the black community. The Indians were a small movement, not hooked into mainstream society. Kent State was a panic reaction by National Guardsmen, not a deliberate order.

The government employees do not want to piss off the people who are in their neighborhoods and know where they live. Or as Fight Club aptly put it:

We guard you while you sleep. Do not f*** with us..

“So, why in the hell does the Tea Party get a pass? Is it because they’re white Americans with guns?”

Because the gov’t backed down.

Why did the gov’t back down?

Because they did not have The Constitution on their side. The best measure of their OWN sense of illegitimacy was that when their authority was challenged they ran. No righteous steward of The Law COULD EVER do as the government did in NV.

This confrontation did not happen in a vacuum. For better than a century power has been stolen fron The People and centralized in the executive. What made 2014 different is that an executive has now picked up all of the strands of the various agencies and, having them in hand, SPOKEN LAW INTO BEING.

HE SPOKE LAW INTO BEING!

The psychic anger that has been building for decades in all honest Men who can understand simple language, was added to intolerably and exploded. Men who had other work to do put it aside and picked up their guns and stood up for The Law as they understood it.

People will try to caricaturize these Patriots in all the usual ways (just as the author has done)but those guns were LOADED. They were not symbolic. They were not being used to send a message or scare anyone. They were the tools of War in the hands of men who “had business in their eye” and who MEANT to defend Right if it cost them their lives. With the unerring instinct for self preservation that all animals have the government abandoned their implied claim of Duty and made a choice for War later rather than War right now.

Mr. Kennedy's errand boy lectures us about "violence and injustice" and a "double standard."

You don't want to go there buddy.

What Kennedy doesn’t understand, or if he does, does not acknowledge, is the fact that we as Liberty-minded patriots oppose government overreach and militarization, regardless of what political cause the protestors represent. The people had the right, have the right and will have the right no matter what some bureaucrat says.

The first amendment zones or areas they established and the blatant scare tactics of militarily armed storm troopers are what boiled my blood. Hell no!!!

I will gladly defend any protestors against Gestapo tactics!

Most people really have no clue about the Spirit of American Independence of 1776. They quake in their shoes thinking about opposing the Redcoats then, or the Fedcoats today. Only a few are Patriots. The rest are Tories. Then and now.

Joshua de Leon obviously does not understand the difference between a mob of unarmed protesters and the constitutionally armed militia.

The US govt backed down for a few reasons at the Bundy ranch. One of which is that they were severely outgunned. Another was the fact that they did not have the moral highground. They were the lawless agressor.

The militias are not comprised of a bunch of college kids. They are mostly former military and/or LEo’s with combat experience. They are not going be cowed by a bunch of forest rangers with tactical gear and few mercs from Blackwater.

As long as the US govt continues its lawless attacks on the American public the response from the militia will continue and intensify.

Kent State was 44 years ago, Wounded Knee 41. If the author is trying to portray this as a historical trend he's got a lot of water under the bridge to account for.

The people killed at Kent State were not protesters, at whom the National Guard were not shooting anyway. They were bystanders near the bookstore. Shoot live ammo into the air, it does come down somewhere. If you happen to be under it, it's a bad day.

However, if we're actually going to revisit armed protest in the United States as a historical phenomenon, we'd have to go back to the very beginning. It really isn't a "new form of American protest", it's the oldest and original one.
