More Attacks Coming Against the Second Amendment and the NRA

The midterm elections of 2014 are coming up and the anti-Second Amendment forces are starting to step up their attacks on our gun rights. The biggest offender is former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is spending $50 million to defeat pro-gun candidates and to destroy the National Rifle Association. He announced his campaign on the Today show where he continued to lie about his intentions of disarming law-abiding citizens.

This anti-Constitution jerk is merging his puppet groups, Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, into a new group called Everytown for Gun Safety. Don't you love how liberals always couch their anti-liberty intentions with warm, fuzzy titles? Bloomberg tries to say that he's not against the Second Amendment, stating, "It isn’t gun control. This is simply making sure that people everybody agrees should not be allowed to buy a gun - criminals, minors, and people with psychiatric problems - make sure they can’t buy guns - nobody is going to take anyone’s gun away nobody is going to stop you from hunting, target practice or protecting yourself." I guess those thousands of laws stating that minors, those with a criminal record, or the mentally ill cannot purchase guns must be a figment of our imaginations.

The truth is that Bloomberg is about gun control, pure and simple. He is the liberal ideal of two sets of laws: one for the common peasants, and another for elites such as himself. If he's so committed to getting rid of guns, then let him get rid of his 14 armed bodyguards. Oh, but that would mean that he would have to practice what he preaches, and that violates every belief that a progressive liberal follows.

Of special irony is that he says the NRA targets the families of those who are anti-gun. Bloomberg says that the NRA goes after anti-gun politicians in the following manner: ” We don't care. We're going to get after you. If you don't vote with us we're going to go after your kids and your grandkids and your great-grandkids. And we're never going to stop." How laughable that assertion is. All you have to do is perform a basic search engine check and you'll see where liberals hound those who they disagree with and how they will go after their family. The most obvious example is how Sarah Palin's family is treated or George W. Bush's daughters were when he was in office.

Sadly, the anti-gun attacks won't end there. While other groups may not be as blatant about it, they'll work to elect liberal candidates who are solidly anti-Second Amendment. The US Chamber of Commerce is spending millions to defeat conservative candidates in the upcoming midterm elections. Another group is the recent Silicon Valley startup called Brigade, created by Napster founder Sean Parker and other magnates. These men all have one thing in common, they donate and heavily support liberal causes and politicians. In their eyes, Obama is the right man for the job. While their group is being labeled currently as being neutral, we know that it'll be anything but. Brigade will serve to elect progressive liberal candidates and RINOs that will support amnesty for Big Business and attempt to limit our Constitutional rights, such as the Second Amendment.

We have to gird ourselves for the fight as we always have to do. Keep your friends and family informed of the real facts. Join the NRA and other gun rights groups. Lastly, make sure you vote and that others vote as well. One of the greatest joys is seeing liberals waste millions of their own dollars, so let's make sure that happens.

Truth-in-advertising would dictate that he call it "Billionaire Control-Freaks-R-US."

We need to counter their attacks with every event we can find wherein a gun has saved a life or prevented theft or the destruction of property. When we find these events, we post them on leftist blogs and new outlets, not just here or other pro-conservative web sites.

The truth is that if Bloomberg didn’t have any money, he’d be in a rubber room.

On that note, have you FRiends been seeing a lot of anti-gun, “Gun Safety,” ads on your PCs?

I sure have. Just started this week, too.

We have to be very conscientious about crafting our message and controlling the debate this year. We can not let them draw us into discussions that they want to have. If they bring such things up, we need to basically ignore it and immediately get back on the topics that we want to talk about. For example, if a reporter started asking me about rape and abortion, I would ignore the question completely and immediately start talking about fourth amendment rights, second amendment rights, Obamacare, amnesty, taxes, etc. The press is our enemy. We can’t let them control the debate anymore.

Our forefathers would have made a sticky pillow or a rope swing out of him by now. We will attempt to counter his lies and unconstitutional behavior.

"Of special irony is that he says the NRA targets the families of those who are anti-gun."

I read my America's First Freedom faithfully every month. I have never seen an article where the NRA targets Bloomberg's family. They target Bloomberg and those who support his gun grabbing agenda. I have never read anything where they have gone after these people's families. Bloomberg needs to back this statement up with some facts.

Also, I noticed that you mention that the Chamber of Commerce will be backing anti-gun politicians in this year's elections. I imagine you are referring to those politicians who may be friendly to small businesses yet are anti gun. I'm fine with that because they have a certain set of issues they are concerned with and the second amendment is not one of them. However, I saw them lauded time and again on this website for attacking Obamacare during the debate. It's funny how the NRA is a one issue organization also yet they get lambasted for supporting liberals who happen to be pro second amendment. These other organizations never do.

I’d like to see the local LEOs tell Bloomy, “We’re behind you Mayor!”

“You go knock on the door....and we’ll be right behind you....”
