After the Bundy debacle, will government use murder to reassert its dictatorial authority?

What steps will our federal and state governments take to reassert their dictatorial authority over a people who have become far too confident in an ability to defy their superiors? Will Barack Obama quietly authorize assault and battery, even the murder of a few unimportant Americans in order to intimidate an annoying, freedom seeking public back into line? According to the terms of New York’s Safe Act, April 15th was the final day by which “Assault Weapons” were to be registered with the state. But of an estimated 1-2 million rifles which have made paper felons of Empire State owners, it is believed that just 3,000-5,000 had been registered by the deadline; about one quarter of 1%. And New York gun owners are not just refusing to obey Governor Cuomo’s unconstitutional firearm statute, they are openly DEFYING it, burning their registration forms for all to see.

Some 85% of gun owners in Connecticut have also refused to...

Yes, next question.

It will use whatever means, by whatever means necessary to enforce state authority over the people.

It could very well open a can of worms that they did not anticipate or prepare for.

Genocide is always the next step after the gun confiscation. Better to die on your feet than in a camp.

I don't think it will happen with Bundy. Too high profile, Too much press. There are video interviews with him. People may disagree with him but he doesn't appear like someone you would send a swat team in to kill. People didn't get a chance to hear from Weaver or Koresch so the government was able to demonize them.

It will happen other places quickly and without warning. This government feels it can't allow a group of its citizens to stand up to them. The unrelenting attacks on the Tea Party is a perfect example.

“After the Bundy debacle, will government use murder to reassert its dictatorial authority?”

The short answer: “Yes!”

It will be another Ruby Ridge and Waco all over again and nothing will come of it.

“I hear ya bro. There was a time, in the not too distant past, that I thought there would not be an evil, communist dictatorship in America either, at least not in my lifetime, but look what happened.”

I feel the same. I've been on this earth for 80 years and never thought we would be under siege by our government. I recommend watching “The Patriot” movie with Mel Gibson. He tried to stay out of the Revolutionary War, but a son was killed by a British officer, and he went to war. He used frontier tactics against the regimented British soldiers, and killed them from ambushes, not lined up as the British soldiers did.

If we come to war against this tyrannical government, our patriot army will have to use those tactics of hit and run. Our sharp shooters will have to fight from long distances using the fantastic rifles we now have.

There will be some of our military who will defect as they will not kill their countrymen but I think it would have to get bad before that happened. They would be deserters but I doubt the govern. troops would have the time to hunt them down and kill them.

Our ex-military men would be invaluable in this fight against this tyrannical government.

I can't imagine we would go to war, but that is a possibility now.

After the midterm elections he'll have more flexibility.

Good one!

I wish I could find a photo of “THE WAR WAGON” (not the movie), a hand built armored vehicle used in Cairo Ill, back in 1970, by their police dept.

You are correct.

I think it's going to be much more subtle than that.

Were I a fascist, I'd back down, but withing a year every one of those folks helping Bundy would find themselves in a world of hurt via the IRS, local franchise tax boards and the like. Easier to let them think they've won and then pick them off one at a time, into the night and fog.

The enemy is not dumb; they overreach at times, but they're not dumb.

I believe if they think they can pull it off the authorities in Nevada will pull a SWAT type raid on Bundy’s ranch knowing they will defend themselves. Then try to kill him and his sons at least. That would solve Dingy’s problem.

Steward Rhoades said that he expects a larger attack from the Feds fairly soon and predicts it will be met with a larger response.

Given the Red-Blue divide, which is REALLY the Country-City divide. . . . once it finally starts (and at this point, it’s pretty much a question of WHEN, not IF. . . ), the winning tactic will be to block highways, cut train lines and utilities (especially power and water) into the cities.

Then, maintain the roadblocks, and let nature take its’ course. . . . .

Nice hardware, but wait until they have to replace engines, trannys, tires and do regular maintenance on those things. They’ll wind-up our in the public park with the WWII howitzer displays.

They're supposedly our servants (Yes I know, that's a total joke to them.)

Have you ever heard the recording of a phone call from some lady to the Connecticut State Police? Her husband had gotten a notice to hand his weapons in to the local police because he tried to register them after the deadline.. At the end of the call she said he was the servant, the citizens are the masters, and he said, "No, no. We are the masters. We are the masters."

Pretty chilling. JBTs really don't know they are servants.

I could not get the Western Journalism link to work from the thread, so unsure why not. So that is all I could find on Fox News website.

I watched it on tv this a.m. You are welcome.

ROFL...I cannot imagine why Brevard, NC would need a tank, except maybe to overturn a rock by pulling it...unbelievable.

I guess it would go over rough terrain to get those pesky golf balls that can override their mark.
