Unlike our self-appointed anti-blogger, humblegunner, I don’t mind checking out your blog and did read your argument. That said, I am not a fan of Karen Handel. I was put off by Handel’s behavior this week when she rejected David Perdue’s apology for pointing out that Handel lacks a college degree. Handel insisted instead that Perdue should apologize to every Georgian who doesn’t have a college degree — a silly tactic that made Handel sound like a snippy little girl and not at all like a United States Senator. Grow up and act like a big boy, Karen.

She should have turned it into a positive and said that she didn’t get her degree, but with hard work and against odds, she has had wonderful achievements.

I agree she sounded snippy.

Thanks for reading! It’s also posted at RedState. This was nothing more than my personal opinion, and my vote (of course). Handel should have been more gracious, but in this race, nobody is being particularly gracious, so they are offsetting penalties. If “act like a big boy” means accept insults and then just an apology is okay—go ahead and bash me to bits, then I’m glad she’s counterpunching. This is the kind of counterpunching I think the Senate needs. Broun is verbally engaging, but he’s no Ted Cruz.
