Should, should, should, but won't be.
No. It isn’t.
Like so many of these things through the administration, this will go nowhere. Sad but true.
Take Back Senate in November—Tea Party People. Hold House—replace Boney with Cruz as Speaker. January, 2015 start the Impeachment of Obama and Biden. Toss em out—Ted Cruz will be President until January 2017. Sounds like a Plan.
If Lerner was smart, at the first question about who told her to do what she should have said “Mr Cummings”
THAT would have been quite a circus
Wish they would just pull him off the stage there in Austin!
“Or, failing that, a rebellion”
Sadly thats whats coming. The GOP ain’t gonna save the republic.
This is not a Watergate moment. To call it that requires that there be some potential for serious repercussions to Obama, Holder,et al.
There are not. The media will not turn on Obama under any circumstances. Period.
The Republicans pass some pissant resolution, BFD. Holder won’t arrest her, congress can’t arrest her without the use of literal force & they just don’t have the guts to force a genuine Constitutional crisis confrontation by doing that. Also, to arrest Lerner over Holder’s refusal would essentially mean that Holder broke the law and should also be arrested. They will not open that little box of goodies.
The problem with the Republicans in congress is that some of them are as corrupt as the Democrats, and the rest are in complete denial in thinking this can be properly dealt with by anything short of a full blown Constitutional crisis. I mean the type of crisis(es) that preceded the War Between the Sates. It has now reached the point that anything less than ALL is really NOTHING.
If the House doesn’t bring in LE and physically arrest & detain Lerner, then we will have had our Hitler / Czechoslovakia moment. A green light for the despot and no options after this but complete capitulation or full blown conflict. With congress it will be capitulation, leaving the people as the only hope and with only one option for them to pursue. With 55% sucking the government teat and a large percentage blissfully unaware of the whole thing, where does that leave the country?
I'm old enough to remember Watergate.
I won't offer a defense of Nixon as a president, it's not relevant.
However, after the 1972 landslide I have no doubt the media and the left (but I repeat myself) were livid, and were going to stop at nothing to take him down.
Pull cummings off the committee panel tables and put him right onto the witness stand and under oath...
The real Watergate occurred at a moment of time when their were old lions in DC with a shred of honor. such times are long past. the only reason Nixon resigned was that old sages in the GOP told him it was over and time to go. Such sentiments of honor are literally unknown in the Communist Party.
He ain’t going now, he ain’t going soon, I have my doubts he will ever go.
>This is treason and should be dealt as such.<
.
Ah, how romantic!
BTTT!
Not a Watergate moment IMHO. Just time for Obama to decide that it’s more heat than he wants to deal with, the golf course is calling. Time to resign, let Biden have some fun as president so he keeps his mouth shut, and Biden appoints Hillary as VP. All part of their backup plan.
If he claims the vast discretion he spoke of and chooses not to pursue the Lerner referral, its over.
It would be time for a Special Prosecutor.

The problem is: Who appoints the Special Proecutor? Answer: The President. Fuhgedaboutit!
One :60 commercial with Engelbrecht testifying to her treatment by the Democrats would completely undo the "War On Women" meme.
Is the GOP-e smart enough to do this? Probably not, because Engelbrecht is a Tea Partier and, therefore, persona non grata to the establishment.

I will ‘never’ forget the bumper sticker after R. M. Nixon relieved the Special Prosecutor he appointed, Archibald Cox.
The sticker....
IMPEACH THE COX SACKER!!!!
LOL.... That is awesome. I don’t remember that bumper sticker.
You need 67 Senators. You do not have 10.
