At a recent HOA meeting, a newly moved in homeowner from NYC was complaining about the response time for 911 in our community.

My response was that in Florida the only time you need 911 is if you choose not to own a VPD (Victim Prevention Device) and be like the people who live a place like NYC where it is illegal to do anything more than Call and Cower. Here in Florida we can chose to legally protect ourselves and families.

It's called Shoot and Shovel and is a lot better than Call and Cower, cause as you found, when seconds count, the police are just minutes away.
