Obama’s Increasingly Weak And Frivolous Presidency

No one should begrudge the President a little rest and frivolity. There is a time and a place for it. The issue for a President is picking the time and place for such things. George W. Bush refused to golf once the wars started, deciding that the appearance of the President golfing sent the wrong message. Bush was forever attacked for spending a month at his ranch every summer, despite the fact that he had the same access to the government and the world that he had in the White House. Bill Clinton took less vacation time than Bush, spending most of it in Martha’s Vineyard.

I disagree with the title; Obama’s time in power has not increased in weakness. The weakness and frivolous nature of his efforts has been apparent from the beginning. He’s like the lazy and inept bully who is happy to hit someone whose arms are being held by other bullies but who cowers when faced with someone able to defend himself. Obama pummeled Americans during his first two years, when he controlled everything, especially when passing ObamaCare, but he has otherwise been uniformly weak while chasing frivolous whims.

Obama's a figurehead. He's there because he's black, and so anyone who disagrees with Leftist Regressive policy will be called "wacist".

Obama goes on vacation because the powers that be in Washington (Reid, Pelosi, Jarrett, etc.) want him out of the way while they formulate policy.

Obama is about to outlive his usefulness. Obama's approval rating is now below 40%. If it goes below 35%, look for soemthing bad to happen to him. I can see Valerie Jarrett giving some mentally deranged man a gun and telling him that Obama's the one putting voices in his head.

As we've seen with Marxists and Fascists, martyrs are much more useful and easier to handle.

Here's the whole thing:

***********************************

No one should begrudge the President a little rest and frivolity. There is a time and a place for it. The issue for a President is picking the time and place for such things. George W. Bush refused to golf once the wars started, deciding that the appearance of the President golfing sent the wrong message. Bush was forever attacked for spending a month at his ranch every summer, despite the fact that he had the same access to the government and the world that he had in the White House. Bill Clinton took less vacation time than Bush, spending most of it in Martha’s Vineyard.

Obama has spent a significant part of his Presidency engaged in frivolous activities. In five years he’s golfed over 100 times. Each March he fills out a NCAA Tournament bracket in front of the ESPN cameras. Some years, nothing much is going on in March and thus it isn’t that big a deal. Doesn’t the smartest man ever to live in the White House not see how bad the optics are this year when he filled out his bracket? Putin is taking Crimea, Ukraine is practically at war with Russia and we’re in the middle of it trying to pressure the Russians. Meanwhile the President is picking college basketball games for television. Obama is choosing a frivolous public image.

Meanwhile the President’s wife and daughters are in China on the taxpayer’s dime. It’s being billed as a “feel good tourist event.” Why exactly are taxpayers paying for Obama’s family to go on a tourist vacation in China? This is where the arrogance of the Obama’s becomes plain as day. How can we ever expect the President to support balancing the budget when he’s sending his wife and kids away on a frivolous tax funded trip to China? This isn’t diplomatic work, the First Lady isn’t a diplomat. Unfortunately this isn’t the first time the Obama’s have sent the First Lady away on the taxpayer’s dime. During the first term she went on vacation in Spain, her daughter went to Mexico. Earlier this year she stayed behind in Hawaii, costing taxpayers a second flight back to Washington plus additional Hawaiian security.

President’s and their wives have to be very careful with their vacations. Taxpayers don’t begrudge the President a vacation, we do have a problem when our money is being frivolously spent. When the First Lady is leaving the country for a vacation, that might as well be the definition of frivolously spent tax dollars. So long as her husband is President, Mrs. Obama has no business leaving the country without Barack. It not only appears wasteful of tax dollars, it is. Yet this President and First Lady don’t seem to care. They act entitled. Worse, they set a precedent for future First Lady’s to globe trot with tax money without their husband. What do you want to bet the first Republican First Lady to do so get skewered in the press?

The Obama Presidency is becoming increasingly frivolous. As Obamacare crumbles, as Russia rumbles and as the middle east continues to simmer, the President looks increasingly small and weak. Filling out tournament brackets, going to Opening Day baseball games (which he is sure to do in ten days) and sending the wife off to look at the Great Wall of China makes Obama look small. It makes the American Presidency look small, weak and frivolous. It’s one thing to relax and publicly enjoy frivolity when times are good. When everything is crumbling, it makes a President look weak and frivolous. That’s not good for the country at all. Unfortunately we have a very weak and frivolous President right now.

Obama runs the country like it’s his backyard barbecue - and he doesn’t even do that very well!

President looks increasingly small and weak

BUT not to himself. He is totally convinced that he is the supergenius - the magic black man that the fawning media portray him as. One problem with blacks is that generally speaking they are given the most lavish praise for the most trivial of accomplishments. Zero has been living in that world of the obsequious media gushing lavish praise on his every flatulent utterance for so long that he truly believes that he is perfection.

In his mind his speeches should sway everyone. His frequent obvious lies should be believed. His failed communistic ideology will work because its HIM that's doing it. The man is an utter dunce with only the ability to cozen fools into thinking he has some substance. He doesn't. His just a con-man.

I would take your characterization much farther. He is only ineffective if viewed from an American patriot's standpoint. From Obummer’s standpoint, he has been exceedingly effective in trashing America and, most importantly, no one has stopped this break neck race toward his ultimate objective - flushing all America down the toilet. Making matters much worse, any rational human being would conclude that the entire political establishment is actively facilitating the treason. Obummer knows he is illegitimate so why not make the best of it and party as if there is no tomorrow.

Frankly, I don’t care what he believes about himself, or why. The only thing that concerns me is that no one of any “legal standing” is lifting a finger to prevent him from slitting our collective throats.

True, but the fact that this country would elect, and then re-elect, an empty suit like this speaks volumes about the present state of the nation as well. We tolerate (if not encourage) mediocrity, mendaciousness, and manipulation in our leaders. The Clown Prince is a symptom of something very troubling going on in this nation.

This isn’t diplomatic work, the First Lady isn’t a diplomat.

Perhaps this isn't official diplomatic work, thus justifying a Press blackout but my gut tells me Michelle is delivering a personal message to the Chinese that is offering concessions which are detrimental to our security or that of Taiwan!!!

I still don’t like to listen to Obama’s speechifying. The Speech 101 methods he uses are, while obvious, still full of fabrications & tactics. . and they’re LONG and monotonous. Three more years of this, while being told by the increasingly irrelevant media he’s a complete GENIUS; it’s just too much. - I don’t like transparent juvenile brainwashing techniques. Oh, and may Michelle gag on her egg rolls while “vacationing”.
