This is one of my hot topics, but I am only a lurker, not an expert.
I thought I read on some threads since I came that you couldn’t “surrender” or lose your US citizenship.
Maybe someone has a different take or information.

There was a thread here a few days ago about US citizens living in another country and becoming citizens of that country, thereby renouncing their US citizenship so they wouldn’t have to pay taxes to the US. You can renounce your US citizenship.
People are assuming that his mytholigical life is accurate and that he was born a US citizen.
There is no evidence that the above is factual.
The Cold Case Posse people have stated that there is no evidence whatsoever of who his parents are. Meaning that 0bastard has presented. The only “documents” presented (online) are forged, so why does anyone assume that they are factual? The CCP have said they have found no evidence that Stanley Ann Dunham is his mother. Zullo and Arpaio and team are working hard with a large flow of info being sent to them.
You can, but it would be difficult for a child to give up citizenship or a parent to do it for a child.
It's not very likely that any American would do that at a time when and in a country where death squads had recently been very active.
