more often than ever in my life, I see many things that now find me considering, wondering, pondering about being a vegan
then
there are those I have read from that claim that plants too have a sort of “consciousness”, not like an “individual” but more like a “group” thing (i don’t believe it)
and were that true then how is being a vegan any different from being a “carnivore”
everything on the planet thst is living, is a “living thing” and certainly in EVERY other life form than ours, none of those living things have an altruistic idea about NOT eating something because it is “another living thing”
apes & chimps do not, as a regular thing, eat meat, but that seems more from how they have evolved than a “conscious” decision, like “yea, we shouldn’t kill that animal for food”
I guess I’m just getting soft in my “old age”
still not a vegan, but still think of it more often

[29] And God said: Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed upon the earth, and all trees that have in themselves seed of their own kind, to be your meat: [30] And to all beasts of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to all that move upon the earth, and wherein there is life, that they may have to feed upon.
