Could We Really 'Repeal and Replace' Barack Obama?
Yahoo Voices ^ | February 2, 2014 | Mark R. Whittington

Posted on 02/02/2014 9:15:17 AM PST by Marcus

Could the United States be rid of President Obama before his term expires in January, 2017, thus saving years of his ruinous policies? Rand Simberg, who usually writes about aerospace subjects, seems to think so.

He makes the following modest suggestion. If, at a point, the president's popularity becomes sufficiently low, the Republicans should run for the 2014 midterms on the promise that should they take over the senate, they will impeach and remove both Barack Obama from the presidency and Joe Biden from the vice presidency, making the speaker of the house president.

If Boner doesn’t have a Dem Senate and Dem White House to suck up to, then he might just have to suck up to his constituents.

A Boner in the WH is better than the vagina that is there now.

....whereupon Boehner would start crying and in a spirt of compromise, would reappoint Obumbles and Biden....and the state-run media would still hate him.

If there were any members of the GOP in congress who loved their country more than their jobs, this would have already been done.

If any of them had started impeachment hearings we would already have been given the opportunity to expose this tyrant live on C-SPAN.

Then candidates for the senate could run on the promise to follow through.

This is completely unrealistic.

It takes a 2/3 vote in the Senate trial to remove an impeached president from office. Realistically it will never happen. Even if the GOP takes control of the Senate in 2014, there’s no way that they will have anywhere near a 2/3 majority.

should they take over the senate...

A 2/3 vote is needed to convict an impeached president. Ain't gonna happen. Even if it could be proved that Obama is a general in the Iranian army, ain't gonna happen.

Not as long as their are weak-replacement-kneed RINOsaurs like Juan "El Guapo" McCain" and Orrin "What The Hell Is An Orrin" Hatch in The Senate.

Is Orrin Hatch still in The Senate?

We need to put term limits on Senators. 100 years is enough.

” making the speaker of the house president”

God help us all!! I can close my eyes and see him sobbing into his hanky as he takes the oath of office and then declares amnesty for all.

Boner is probably not a life-long committed enemy of America, yes.

but he’s far from being a credible candidate, nevertheless (given his long record of supporting or enabling or approving or defending Obama’s destructive agenda). Many people will stay home (they CAN stay home, even if faced with an openly avowed enemy agent on the other ticket, need we recite examples?)

we need a new Speaker of the House to make this plan salable

Rand Simberg who does not seem to know about a 2/3rd Senate vote required to impeach Zero should stick wiht aerospace projects.

How about a tens of millions of people signing one of those White House petitions, this one demanding Obama resign?

Take it the bank, the USA will never impeach it’s first black president. Although one wishes it would.

I don’t think impeaching Oblunder is that impossible. What the repugs would need to do is convict him in the house on completely indefensible charges putting the rats in a position they couldn’t defend and look even more stupid if they tried.

Rand Simberg, who usually writes about aerospace subjects

When he's not playing second base for the Cubs or managing the Phillies.

You mean like getting fellated by a young White House intern and then lying about it under oath? :)
