According to Zullo, the new “universe-shattering evidence” was not discovered until just a few months ago. The time spent since the discovery of the evidence has been spent vetting it every way possible by Arpaio’s regular department, not the Cold Case Posse.
So this is a totally new, recent situation. New evidence. New criminal investigation by Sheriff Arpaio, not just Zullo’s CCP.
All evidence gathered by the CCP as of last year was filed by Zullo in an affidavit for a case with the Alabama Supreme Court including a secret report by a certified document examiner concluding that Barry’s BC was forged.
