Hyundai and Kia are the same company. Kia is the upscale version of the Hyundai.

I think it maybe the reverse. Hyundai being the higher quality and I believe when I bought my hyundai the kias were only offering a 7 year warranty.

I like my Hyundai but would have been better off going the Mercedes 300 route mentioned above.

Just didn’t want another headache of someone else’s at the time and wanted have reliable transportation.

Hyundai Accent has provided a great ride to work and back for the past 10 months.

Note: Hyundai accents did not come with a spare tire when I bought mine.

That's backwards. Hyundai is the upscale, comfort version of Kia. Try finding anything like a Hyundai Genesis in Kia's line.

Traditionally, the two Korean brands have diverged in image and branding. Kia was the sporty, less expensive entry brand; Hyundai was the more refined mass-market player. But in recent years, Kia has been pushing upward into Hyundai's territory.
