Exactly. This thing is going to kill the economy and any fix will only prolong the pain.

The Republicans seem to me to be off on the wrong foot again.
The new debate should be about improving health care not just making it affordable to the wealthy or offering phoney plans where men pay for pregnancy coverage or make believe wannabe physical ‘checks’ or letting English majors or accounting bureaucrats make life and death medical care decisions or letting fat cat Senators and their privileged staff get special cut rates and free goodies.
And the Republicans can offer better programs for:
Cleaning up and speeding up the regulatory and approval process, ending the rich lawyers lawsuit bonanza, letting as far as possible, market forces establish prices, increasing the number of doctors... there are many good conservative
approaches to a better health care system.
I applaud these conservative Republicans, but they are in the minority of the existing Republican Party incumbents and leadership.
