I'm not even sure you can honestly make that statement. Russia isn't the Soviet Union anymore, and the US isn't the USA anymore.
There seems to be a lot of dead reporters (including Tim Russert) whistle-blowers, critics, family and government insiders listed here...
...most of whom could have been privy to damaging or embarrassing information. Individual death threats and the general media knowledge of these mysterious deaths could in fact be having an extreme chilling effect on the "free press".

Oreiley, Hannity, Savage, Levin, Beck....any of them could have broken the story. I tried. Hell Sinclair was on 104.5 FM live at odumbi’s Grand Rapids campaign stop in 2004...he got interviewed on the radio the whole time odumbi was talking.

I believe the people who wanted 0bama elected had him killed, but I am conspiratorial and suspicious by nature. It’s just plain right in your face obvious. HE was a key to a compliant press, and the Press needed an offer they couldn’t refuse.
A number of people have died around this WH and its cronies/gangs. Some of them tied directly to it.

My father died almost immediately from a heart attack. It can happen. Obama killed my father would be the only logical conclusion, I suppose.
0bama needed a compliant, biased press. He got it. Russert was know for being dispassionate.
0bama wanted propagandists and got them. H3ll, they get faxes and read them like news.

I don’t dispute you. He was known in journalism as the most dispassionate journalist coming up to preside over debates then, IIRC. And he DIED before the 1st, IIRC.
