Yeah, like learning what conservatives really stand for, instead of allowing the dems to define us.

A 3rd party will not accomplish what you think .. it will only lead to a dem win .. OR IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT ..??

Could have been me , on particular nights. But I think not. With such praise, I wish it would have been. :-)

At this point, I want nothing further to do with Republican party, but your question is perfectly fair.

No, I’ve never been a PCP for the Republican party. But I have written countless letters to my CONgress critters, placed countless phone calls to them, written countless blogs, been to Tea party rallies and all the rest. I’ve gotten friends and family to to vote GOP, and I have no problem whatsoever preaching about Conservative values to complete strangers.

The problem is this: The Republican party is not a Conservative party. It ceased being a Conservative party when it made its peace with the New Deal, to paraphrase Buckley. As far as I can tell, the only thing it wants to is run the federal bureaucracy better than the Dhimmicrats.

That’s not good enough. It has never been good enough. Either they support the Constitution or they don’t. There are no grey areas on this.

<....”Best case scenario is TEA Party victory in 2014 primaries, of course”.....>

As time consuming this is going to take, while our country continues to be destroyed, I do not see any other way but continue as you have stated.

Look how Cruz and Lee shook ‘everybody’ up... good press bad press didn’t matter...he was seen and heard. We need more as this who are unafraid to take the stands which need standing for!

To split the GOP into two parties is got to be the dumbest idea I have heard in decades. If this actually occurred, the Democrats would clean up across all regions. Has anyone checked out the demographics down South. With a split right of center, the Left would clean up, even in states like Alabama. This is where we stand as I see it. Today’s GOP represent the full gamut of the Founding Fathers, that is both Jeffersonians and Hamiltonians. All those who believe in either of these two worldviews have ended up in the Republican Party. Our opponents the Democrats are lock stock and barrel a European Marxist party. They totally reject the Founders, Federalists and Republican (1790’s) both. For us to split up and hand the field unhindered to the Marxists is the height of stupidity.

I can certainly live with being wrong on this. If your scenario comes to pass, I’ll be a happy camper and will be the first to admit I was wrong.

But there’s more to it than winning elections. It’s what you do when you win that matters.

Thanks, FRiend!

I’m sorry I didn’t ping you. At one point, I think you were on my list, but I have no idea what I did with it. I ping from memory, and well, the 90’s were a blur.....

” Time for new tactics.”

What new tactics would you recommend?????? You see we have spoken up time and again and they still don’t listen...or care....so there’s only one way and that’s to get them out.

I personally believe Ted Cruz is attempting to ‘more’ than stir the waters....no matter what’s thrown at him....and he did so successfully.....good or bad press he’s been on the move and noted by all who matter as well as those who don’t.
HE got the press....and he got the attention from those with the money to support him. Both of which are needed. Plus he’s got the stamina to endure and fight....and “answer” whatever is thrown at him. He knows the game.

George Washington wasn’t interested in being president.....

I’d have to say that worked out pretty well....

Of course I mentioned Christy....that’s who the democrats want us to run...just like they wanted Romney to run.

Yes. I was ironing. Had it in my hand. One of those 1960’s irons. Heavy and hot. Dang if I didn't provoke him. But he was mean, not stupid.

Wound up chasing him out the door with it, pushed him down, threw the iron aside, grabbed him by the ears, and beat his head on the pavement.

All the while cursing him for turning me in to trash that could do such a thing. And he took it. There is a word for that, begins with a P ends with a Y.

That was my turning point. I allowed his actions to change me into something I loathed. And I vowed it would never happen again.

Should I feel less about this great country?

That’s quite OK. I may have asked you to take me off of it at a time when I was too busy to spend time here. It’s all good, as they say, and I found your essay so it’s even better than that. :-)

Exactly! The GOPe has been SILENT because they are part of the ruling "elite". We should be vocal, patient and unafraid, because we ARE the majority.
