Please keep a pistol cocked and locked, or a shotgun, or a revolver, (whatever you’re comfortable with), within reach at all times. Hide a gun in every room so you aren’t forced to run.

Hiding a gun in every room is not the best plan, IMHO. The odds of a child stumbling across it, or even a pet somehow messing with it, are too great.

Would be better to just have a firearm on your person.

Better not to let them get in, in the first place. Have the gun as last resort, but get your door, hinges, and jambs reinforced so YOU are the one bypassed, as they go on to easier homes.

I live in a rural area that is a wonderful place... and I carry a .45 on me at all times... inside or out.
