U.S. Congressman John Carter (R-TX31) and Sam Johnson (R-TX03) released the following statement on their decision to depart from the House immigration working group, citing a lack of faith in President Obama to enforce current....

Well DUH! Maybe our calls are finally sinking in?

... and new laws necessary to solve the immigration problem.

No, they are still looking for a chance to pass new immigration laws. This might get them through the next election without primary challengers.

WAPO: Indeed, it remains very possible that House Republican leaders will simply let reform die — prioritizing their base over the need to repair GOP relations with Latino voters and to address a national problem both sides agree is in dire need of a solution.

Shame on those GOP house members for finally listening to their constituents instead of citizens of other countries.

RE :”Shame on those GOP house members for finally listening to their constituents instead of citizens of other countries.”

With some help from both the budget fight and upcoming Debt limit fight maybe.

These make it much harder for House amnesty group to get that done. And for all we know many of them were just sweet talking latinos and not serious anyway.

This need for the Republican Party to get latino voters is embarrassing. If the ptb weren't so bigoted, they'd realize that there is not one latino vote.

Marc Rubio and Ted Cruz gave them the path to the Cuban vote yesterday. Cubans are here legally, they want legislation that supports small business growth and vocational training in HS (not debt for useless degrees) and have on the whole created successful communities. They learn English and know history.

Cruz and Rubio can bring that vote and the vote of equally law abiding hispanics into the Republican Party. Not by pandering. By getting back to conservative roots.

If only we can educate Rubio that the reason we want the invaders to go home is that they're here illegally. No pathway to citizenship (only a oneway ticket home) for those who can't establish that they got to the US legally.
