To check your Adobe Flash settings.
Go to any Adobe add. (EZ find. drudge top center.)
Right click in add and select "Settings".
Select center tab where you can see check boxes asking if the web site, "s0.2mdn.net" can access your camera and microphone.
There are other check boxes of "Privacy" concern in the other tabs.
Also right click Adobe add and select "Global Settings" for other privacy selections.

The camera/mic are only used when on Skype with the grandkids. The rest of the time it is unplugged. Much easier to manage and totally secure.

Put a piece of black tape over your camera.

This machine did not come with Adobe, nor do I have any intentions to install it.

Freezing browsers demanding Adobe updates were the bane of my existence on my last machine.

Some motherboards used to come with a microphone apparently.

Yup! Reminds me of the CD encryption that was solved with a black marker pen! :-)

There are several Adobe Settings managers. (Note, the image on the screen are not pictures, but control panels.)

http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

There are “02”, “03”, “04”, “05”, “06”, “07”, “08”, and “09”.

Just enter the numbers at the end of the URL, instead of in this case, 07. The one I use most is 07, which controls “flash cookies”, that can act as backups to your browser’s cookies, so if you delete them, the flash cookie restores all the data you wanted to delete. A dirty trick. Porn sites use flash cookies a lot.

NO worries. I can’t get any Adobe products to install on my comp-not even Reader. I’ve tried to download Flash numerous times- it either stops midway in the download or downloads and doesn’t appear on my list of programs( except on the Uninstall list). I’m running Win7 with IE9 and Firefox browsers. Oddly- Flash will work on ONE quiz site but I can’t add other sites to the permission list. Anyone have any clues??
