“...it’s a frigging MILITARY BASE. Why aren’t there guns?”
The security guards had guns but either couldn’t or didn’t get a chance to use them effectively. We need to start giving base security body armor if they dont already have it. The freaking EPA is better armed than military bases.
Many times the guards have guns but no ammo. Depends on the threat condition and base.
When I was in there were numerous cases of bored guards playing with their guns and having negligent discharges.
